Combine clinical studies with your academic studies

Participate in clinical studies while you're studying!

We have several ongoing studies for healthy individuals. Early in the development of a new medicine, trials are conducted on a small number of participants, often healthy volunteers, for a short period. A trial can last from a single day to several months, often requiring multiple visits to our clinic.

Compensation

You will receive compensation for your participation. The compensation for participation is determined before the clinical trial can start and is reviewed by the Ethical Review Authority. The financial compensation depends on the scope of the trial. It is a common misconception that compensation is based on risk; instead, it is based on the time you need to dedicate to participate. You can find the compensation for each study on its respective page.

About CTC and Forskningsperson.se

CTC conducts clinical research on behalf of the pharmaceutical industry, medical device companies, universities, and other contract research organizations. We have our own clinics in Uppsala, Stockholm, Linköping, and Gothenburg, but we also conduct trials in close cooperation with other clinics and healthcare centers across Sweden. Forskningsperson.se is our platform used to find participants for our trials.

Nils has participated in over 10 studies

Nils Öberg has participated in over ten clinical trials at CTC. He is driven by curiosity, among other things, and takes the opportunity to be productive and social during the studies. He was recommended by a classmate, found it exciting, and saw the opportunity to study at the same time.

What is a clinical trial?

A clinical trial is a study of a medicine's effects. It can also be an evaluation of other types of treatment, such as a surgical method, radiation therapy, physiotherapy, special diets, medical devices, and more.

Clinical trials for medicines are conducted either at a special trial unit like CTC or within the healthcare system at a primary care center or hospital clinic. The trial is often carried out on behalf of the company that developed the medicine, in collaboration with the responsible doctor and other staff.

Why are clinical trials conducted?

Clinical trials are conducted to develop treatments that are as effective and safe as possible. They have led to the development of medicines, various treatment methods, and medical devices, among other things, which we now take for granted.
