Study for People with Atopic Eczema

Study for People with Atopic Eczema

Study 583

We are looking for people with atopic dermatitis (atopic eczema) to participate in a drug trial.

The study examines an emulsion (a thin, fluid cream) currently under development for the treatment of atopic eczema. Atopic eczema is a chronic skin condition that causes itching, redness, and skin irritation.

The purpose of the study is to investigate the safety and tolerability of the investigational drug, as well as how it is absorbed, distributed, and excreted in the body. The new drug is based on a novel therapeutic principle and aims to restore balance to the immune system.

Target group: people with atopic eczema, ages 18–65

Criteria for participation:

  • Have had atopic eczema for at least six months and currently have itchy eczema
  • Do not smoke regularly (e.g., cigarettes, e-cigarettes, pipe)
  • Must not have participated in another drug study in the last three months
  • Have not donated blood in the past three months
  • Be willing to use dual contraception during heterosexual intercourse, i.e., a condom and sterilization (men), AND use approved contraceptives, be sterilized, or be postmenopausal, and not be, or intend to become, pregnant or breastfeeding during the course of the study (women)
