Study 1128

We are looking for healthy individuals between the ages of 18 and 50 to participate in a methodological study in Uppsala.

The purpose of the study is to validate an established model of inflammation and pain.

In this model, a small area of skin is exposed to UVB light, similar to a mild sunburn. The model is often used in research to study pain, inflammation, and sensory responses—that is, the body’s perception of touch, heat, cold, and pain.

To participate in the study, you must have fair skin that burns easily in the sun and/or tans lightly.

The study consists of three visits to our clinic in Uppsala. During these visits, we will conduct sensory tests to examine how your skin reacts to a prickling sensation and heat. Each visit takes about two hours.

Compensation:

1,610 SEK as compensation for your participation.
