We are looking for healthy participants for a study involving an investigational drug for the treatment of serious cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases.
The purpose of the study is to investigate how the drug is absorbed, distributed, and excreted in the body following repeated dosing compared to a marketed drug containing valproic acid, as well as to assess the drug’s safety and tolerability.
Target group: healthy men who are infertile, and women who are infertile or postmenopausal, aged 18–65
Criteria for participation:
- Be healthy
- Be sterile or postmenopausal
- BMI between 18.5–30 kg/m2
- Do not have impaired kidney function
- Do not have high blood pressure
- Unused nicotine or tobacco products
- Do not take any medications or dietary supplements
- Must not have donated blood in the last three months (or plasma in the last month)
- Has not participated in any other drug trial within four weeks prior to the health checkup
The study consists of eight visits to our clinic in Uppsala over a period of 54 days: one initial health check, six clinic visits, and one follow-up visit.
The study is divided into two periods. Each period consists of seven treatment sessions (two capsules per day) and three clinic visits, one of which involves a two-night stay at the clinic. On day one and day seven, the medication will be administered at the clinic; on the other days, you will take the medication at home.
Compensation:
16,180 SEK in compensation for your participation, plus the possibility of travel reimbursement.
