Clinical trial for heartburn

We are looking for participants for a clinical trial of an investigational drug for severe heartburn and acid reflux.

The purpose of the study is to investigate the drug’s safety and tolerability, as well as how it is absorbed, distributed, and excreted in the body.

Target group: healthy men and women, ages 18–65

Criteria for participation:

• Be healthy
• BMI between 18.5–35 kg/m2
• Do not use nicotine products regularly
• Do not take any medications or dietary supplements
• Do not have high blood pressure
• No history of cardiovascular disease
• Must not have donated blood in the last three months (or plasma in the last month)
• Must not have participated in another drug study in the last three months
• Not be pregnant, or intend to become pregnant, or be breastfeeding during the course of the study
• Be willing to use a dual barrier method during heterosexual intercourse (i.e., condoms or male sterilization) AND use study-approved contraceptives, be sterilized, or be postmenopausal (women)

The study consists of two visits to our clinic in Uppsala and a follow-up visit by phone. The clinic visits include a health checkup and a dosing visit. During the dosing visit, you will stay overnight for two nights and receive a dose of the medication or a placebo.

Compensation: 7,140 SEK for your participation, plus travel expenses
